WWE Studios celebrate 1 yr anniv.! Nashville Alumni, Rosemary Haskins, and partner Patrick Himes celebrate their studio, WaterWorks Entertainment's, 1 year anniversary. WWE which opened in November of 2007, is a professional recording studio offering both analog and digital recording. The studio was modeled after Motown Studios and Nashville Studio B. Implementing classic tools of the trade, such as the MCI-JH 24 and Scully 280 analog tape machines, a stereo plate reverb, and tons of other vintage compressors and outboard gear. To celebrate this, we are offering all SAE alumni discounted rates. WWE is proud to welcome SAE alumni to it's facilities. WWE Studios can be used as a freelance place for all alumni who have not yet had the fortune of opening their own studios. Half-way through, students and alumni who won the most recent SAE-LA beat battles played their tracks for the producers panel for comments and critiques. |

SAE Alums: HALF-OFF for SAE-LA's New Digtial Film Program Hey y'all! Che Johnson here - fellow alumnus and National Admissions Coordinator - telling you about our Los Angeles Campus' brand new Diploma Program. We are thrilled to launch the DFP (Digital Film Production) program which gives hands on experience to anyone who wants to professionally create and develop the next level of visual editing/FX for entertainment (film/TV/Webstreaming, etc...). The DFP Diploma prepares graduates for an entry-level position in the film and television industries. The credits apply towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree offered in Australia and the U.K.. And while studying, you'll complete various projects from film shorts to documentaries and a final thesis project that is screened at the end of the program. What's great is that Alumni are being offered 1/2 OFF the TUITION for DFP. Here's a little bit about the program: WHAT YOU WILL LEARN * 2D Design using Photoshop * Storyboarding and Screen writing * Video Cameras & Lighting o You will be SAE certified on various cameras prior to checking them out to film your projects. * Editing Styles and techniques using Final Cut Pro & Avid o Throughout the four quarters, you will be tested on each major editing platform, and towards the end, focus on advanced editing styles and techniques. * Motion Graphics using After Effects & Motion o Like editing mechanics, motion graphics is broken into different levels throughout the course in order to prepare you for the more advanced requirements of your projects as you progress through the curriculum. * Green Screen & Compositing using Shake * Directing * Producing * Color Correction using Color * File Compression using Compressor and Sorenson Squeeze * DVD Authoring using DVD Studio Pro DURATION This is an 36-week course that meets 4 days a week (2PM - 5:30PM, afternoon class). Classes are three and a half hours long and students are able to use the studios during the week when they are not in class for projects/practice. As a full time student you are expected to schedule an average of 10 lab and location hours per week. CLASS SIZE Class sizes are kept small (no more than 30 students per full-time intake) so students can have more time on the equipment and have a better relationship with instructors. STUDENT PACKAGES / EQUIPMENT All Diploma film students receive a MacBook Pro, external hard drive, and editing software to use for your projects - and they're yours to keep! Through arrangements with SAE Institutes's industry partners, you can also take advantage of student discounts on various software and hardware. AWARD Upon completion of the course, you receive a Diploma of Digital Film Production. All graduates of our Diploma also get job-placement assistance through SAE's international Alumni Association. SAE Nashville at the Producer's Chair SAE Nashvillans Matt Leech, Bethany Harris, Crystal Armentrout, Naomi Yunker, & Paul Wynder hang out at Douglas Corner to receive valuable insight into the Nashville music business from Producer Daniel Petraitis. Daniel Petraitis has more than thirty years experience in the entertainment industry. Petraitis has played an integral role in the presentation of groundbreaking music television events in the early nineties ('The Women of Country' CBS, 'This is Garth Brooks Too' NBC, 'At The Ryman' CMT & 'The Road' Tribune Entertainment.) Today Petraitis serves as a Production & Creative Development Executive lending his considerable production experience and artis relations expertise to the High Five team while developing strategic partnerships to explore collaborative creative opportunities.
