SAE SUPERVISOR ENGINEERED ON MULTI-GRAMMY-NOM. “CHANNEL ORANGE”0
Sorry Kanye, but our family tree is also pretty decorated. It is with great pride that we recognize SAE LA Supervisor Doug Fenske (pictured above), who has an engineering credit on Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange, which was nominated for 6 GRAMMY’s this year, including the event’s most coveted award, Album of the Year.
Fenske’s services were recruited to record none other than Mr. Andre 3000′s phenomenal guest verse (as if there were any other varieties of 3 Stacks guest spots) on the album’s 15th track, “Pink Matter.” The recording took place in Studio C at Westlake Recording Studios. And for those that think that artists rarely collaborate in-studio anymore, Fenske assured us that Frank was on hand to witness and approve of Andre’s contributions.
Our sincerest congratulations and good luck to Fenske, Frank Ocean and the rest of the team that made Channel Orange such an incredible piece of music. We’ll be watching on GRAMMY night and rooting along!
