General Course Information

Native Instruments is renowned for making powerful software that offers musicians almost limitless amounts of creative possibilities when creating tracks. With the release of Maschine and its sophisticated hardware controller, NI now offers even more opportunities to make amazing new sounds. However, this can seem overwhelming when you're just staring out, or trying to master all of the options available. This boot camp will introduce students to both the software and the hardware of NI’s unstoppable Maschine.

Instructors for the Bootcamps are local industry professionals with experience in teaching small groups. Given the intense professional nature of these indviduals, the specific instructor for each class may not be determined until the week prior to the Bootcamp. Each and every one of our instructors has been selected becuase of their expertise in the field and the fun in which they deliver the material.

  • Introduction to Native Instruments Maschine
  • Overview of the Mashine Sounds hardware controller
  • Sampling into Maschine
  • Editing samples from the hardware controller or software
  • Automating sample parameters
  • Playing and recording beats and chords
  • Working with FX to shape sounds and beats
  • Using sequencing to create scenes and patterns in a song
  • Importing sounds into a DAW
  • Exporting MIDI or individual sounds into a DAW
  • Using Maschine as a dedicated MIDI controller with other software

What’s Provided

Snacks and beverages will be provided during the day.

Student Responsibilities:

Arriving to class 15 minutes early in order to prepare for the day. Cancellations: Enrolled students may cancel up to 72 hours before the event.
