Sound designer Ivo Ivanov has built custom instruments for some of the biggest names in the business, including Trent Reznor, Derrick Carter, Kero, Otto Von Schirach, Richard Devine and Justin Meldal-Johnsen to name a few. SAE Chicago Featured Student: Everard Robles

Talk about dedication! Everard came here all the way from Mexico, JUST to become an SAE Chicago Student. His love for music started at the ripe age of 12, when he first began composing. His mother, as his cheerleader, raised him to sing/play piano. His true love for the craft came when he began learning music theory. Everard is one INSANELY amazing producer and we are so proud to call him an SAE certified student.

What are your influences? Everything and everyone! Different times in my life determine different influences. I first discovered dance music with Paul Van Dyk & grew up listening to Infected Mushroom.

What were your first Chicago experiences like? Getting out of the subway station with all my bags not knowing where on earth I was going. Luckily, Chicagoans are super nice and I was able to find my way to campus.

Favorite Program? I am definitely a Logic guy but I fell in love with Pro Tools and Ableton!

Best Thing About SAE Chicago? The warmth/kindness and the outstanding knowledge of each teacher.
