Mr Loar is an engineer, producer, composer, designer, and label head. He has mixed for artists including Mos Def, Paul Simon, David Byrne, Living Colour, Rickie Lee Jones, and others. He served as Head Engineer and Technical Director for Le Poisson Rouge NYC, Carroll Music, and Galapagos Art Space. He co-founded Electric Lights Music with Anna Ehl, it is a full service recording and mixing studio in CT. |

Justin Spence
Class of 2005
Product Specialist and Education Liaison, PreSonus Electronics
An established guitarist, vocalist, engineer, and producer, PreSonus Product Specialist and Education Liaison Justin Spence graduated from the SAE Institute of Technology, then worked as an instructor and supervisor at the New York and Nashville campuses of the school before joining PreSonus.
In addition to his work with PreSonus, he owns and operates the All Audio Productions in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and engineers projects at Alliance Recording Studios in Miami, Florida.

Micah Frank
Class of 2002
Lead Developer, Puremagnetik.com
Micah Frank is a New York City based composer, sound designer and live performer. He studied Jazz and Contemporary Music at The New School with American music icons such as Benny Powell, Reggie Workman and Junior Mance. In the years following college, Micah quickly progressed into electronic composition and sound design while employed as an engineer, composer and session drummer for leading New York City scoring houses.
Under the alias Kamoni (www.kamoni.net), his solo assemblage of jungle beats, cerebral sounds, and chopped up samples has received an international audience. Kamoni implements a unique, dynamic use of percussion hardware controllers, synthesizers and software played in real time. In recent years he has performed throughout the US, Canada and Europe.
Micah is the lead developer at Puremagnetik (www.puremagnetik.com), a boutique sound design company he founded in 2006. He has contributed to numerous factory sound libraries including Native Instruments FM8, KORE and Ableton's Operator, Sampler and Drum Machines. As a freelance sound artist, Micah is frequently contracted for commercial television and web sound design. His work has been featured in Electronic Musician, Sound on Sound, XLR8R, Remix, Recording, Computer Music, Knowledge, Keys and numerous other publications. |

Tucker Bodine

Recipient of the 2009 TEC Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement: Studio Design Project
Tucker Bodine began his audio career at SAE Institute's original U.S. campus in New York City. After graduation he quickly went to work in New York prior to deciding to make it on his own and start the first Playback Recording Studio. When Tucker decided to open a facility on the West Coast, he took it to an entirely new level.
Playback was designed by world-renowned acoustical engineer Chris Pelonis, coupled with the cutting edge interior design by Stephanie Bodine and Bernard St. Croix" Playback was designed for post production clients and major label artists, and is rapidly gaining a reputation for being a unique destination studio." Explains Mr. Bodine, "The studio was built with acoustics and aesthetics in mind in order to establish a creative vibe and a professional atmosphere."
Since opening, Playback Recording Studio has been featured in Mix Magazine, Pro Sound News, and The Independent, as well as featured on Solid State Logic's web site for the installation of the AWS 900+ console.
