SAE Institute has taken Apple’s streamlined resources and developed the straightforward and user-friendly iPhone Application Development Program (iPD). Designed for the uninitiated, there is no prior training or programming knowledge required, simply an eagerness to learn the fundamentals of an object-oriented programming language and a passion to embark on a journey as an architect of your own software.

The iPhone App Development Program is a part-time, 12-week program that teaches students the fundamentals of app design for Apple iOS devices including the iPhone, iPad and the iPod Touch. Additionally, the program guides students through the process of submitting finished Apps to the Apple App Store so that students learn the complete cycle of app development : from initial idea to collecting currency.

The iPhone Development Program is taught by successful developers who are also experienced instructors. The teacher-to-student ratio is designed to create an intimate learning environment, which encourages individual student attention while emphasizing SAE’s philosophy of hands-on practical training. Each iPD student is equipped with an Apple computer loaded with the necessary software for application development.

The iPhone Application Development Program teaches: Basic Program Setup, Wireframing, Project Planning, Objective-C Basics, Model View Controller Design, iOS File System, Networking, Memory Management, App Store Submission and more.
