SAE LA’S JOE MCGRATH TO SPEAK AT AES SAN FRANCISCO
SAE LA Instructor Joe McGrath has been selected as a panelist for the AES Project Studio Expo “You Ask, We Answer Q&A Session” on Sat. Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. The Sound On Sound- sponsored Project Studio Expo is part of the 133rd AES convention, which will take place in San Francisco’s Moscone Center Oct. 27-29, and is free and open to the general public. However, attendees need to register beforehand at the AES site.
SAE NASHVILLE AWARDS STUDIO TIME TO WINNER OF ROCKETOWN B.O.B.
SAE Nashville was on hand as a co-sponsor of Nashville’s Rocketown (a concert venue) Battle of the Bands. The winning group was awarded with free studio time on the Nashville campus, complete with a final mix down by SAE Instructor Alan Shacklock. Other awards included prizes from Journey’s clothing, Converse and Forks Drum Closet.
SAE INSTITUTE USA TO HOST NEW SKOOL RULES COMPETITION
For the third consecutive year, New Skool Rules and Epitome Entertainment have teamed up for an international exchange program designed for aspiring young singers and rappers. Eight slots are available, and they will be filled through competitive auditions at various SAE Institute locations. Four contestants will be selected at the European tryouts, and the additional four will be chosen from the U.S. tryouts. Highlights of the auditions will be broadcast on television in 160 countries.

This year’s GRAMMY’s were special for SAE Institute, as we continued our official partnership with The Recording Academy. Consequently, the SAE Institute worldwide family gathered, celebrated, watched and even sent a a few of our own to attend this year’s ceremony. Lucky for us, we don’t have to wait until next year to continue the celebration. SAE New York has announced its first ever NY Alumni Awards, co-sponsored by The Recording Academy.
